Four months old

Page is now looking more like a young dog rather than a little puppy. She has a few more adult teeth and is starting to get a grown up coat. Here ears are slowly becoming more pricked. She is still very naughty and gets away with murder as she is so cute. She loves anything that makes a noise, espeically late at night. She has now learnt to tap, next I shall try left and rights. Page loves to learn, but this extends to the other dogs bad habits. I caught her trying to jump onto the dining room table the other week.

Polo seems to be genearally in much better health than she was at christmas. She comes on walks with us but spends most of the time with us rather than chasing her ball.

Parsley is now only being entered for jumping classes. We haven't trained together for months. It might be a good idea to give her a run on Monday night.

Panic is still keeping all the other dogs in line. She is a real tyrant. She is training well and is looking forward to the agility season. Everytime we go out the garden she is desparate to do the weaves.

Pilot spends most of her time glued to her favourite armchair. She loves her walks but does not see any point in using up any energy in the house or garden. The only exception being raiding the bins or pinching food off work surfaces. She is training a lot better now, and in training has a nice stay and weave.

Penn is still little Miss Sunshine. She is the favourite playmate of Page. They play so well together. Penn has her first show at Easter.

A visit from the tooth fairy.

Last night while playing with Page I noticed she has lost the first of her puppy teeth. An upper incissor. She is starting to grow up. She is chewing a lot more now, so her gums must be a bit sore. I'm keeping some nice soft things for her to chew at hand, these can be swapped for things I don't want her to chew.

She now has a little bit of adult fur on a tail and some more around her face.

Her favourite games are very noisy, she loves to make a lot of noise. She still loves empty plastic bottles. Empty plastic dogs bowls are also very noisy. She has learnt how to flip them on to their side and she then tries to roll them across the room.

I like these photos because you can really see her ears.I think they are so cute.

Next time I hope to give an update on all the other dogs.

Page, still naughty

Page is growing up to be a very happy little puppy. She is still very naughty. Last week I found her with my camera, luckily she hadn't stated to chew it. She also doesn't like me reading and will try and pull books out of my hands. She also still loves to throw water bowls around the house.

She loves to tease Pilot, one evening she decided to play with Pilots ears and turned them inside out. Pilot has very sensitive ears but she just sat there calmly letting Page get way with it.

She enjoys watching the other dogs train. Monday night she was so keen she tried pushing the riding school doors open to get in as fast as possible. While she was there we did some sit and down exercises. We also did a few stays, just the length of her lead. She was very good even with the distractions of the other dogs training.

Page's office

The space behind the chair in the corner of the lounge is called Page's office. It's here she hides all her favourite toys, from the other dogs. Found behind it is a collection of tuggies , ball, plastic  bottles and at the moment a celebrations container. We are not too sure how she managed to get that there. If anything goes missing, this is the place to look. I think this is a family trait as her auntie Jinx has a hidden toy stash too.

She also uses it to tease Pilot, who is to big to get behind. She runs out straight to Pilot and as Pilot starts to chase her runs back behind the chair. She than pokes her head out from alternate sides as Pilot runs  from side to side trying to catch her.

Earlier this week she tried to investigate our record collection. It appears she is a Pink Floyd fan. It was rescued just in time. Tom has also learnt not to leave his glasses on the edge of the table, luckily they were not damaged.

The good weather has given her more of a chance to spend some time playing out the garden with the other dogs, Like her walks this does not tire her out. Poor Penn, she keeps coming up on my lap for a cuddle to get a rest.

I'm still trying to get a good photo of  her on a walk, all I get is a blur or a patch of grass with a tail in the corner.

Sunday

Page is enjoying her walks, she wants to go and say hello to everyone she meets, two or fourlegged. Walks don't tire her out, she arrives home full of energy. At least she sleeps through the night.

A new game for Page is called wrap myself in a throw over then slither through it to the floor. The first time she did it I went to rescue her, she then got back on the chair and did the same thing again. I don't think she will have any problems with collapsible tunnels.

Page's first walk

After having the last of her vaccinations Page was allowed out for her first walk today. She had a great time, especially chasing Pilot. She arrived home, not tired but with even more energy racing around the house.
She was not frightened by anything on her walk. This is a little worrying as she has no sense of danger so we have to watch her carefully. Luckily we have a nice safe dog walking area less than ten minutes walk from our house.

Tuesday

Page had a busy day yesterday. She to have her second vaccination, she was very brave and didn't notice it. She was microchipped as well and this time gave a little squeal, I don't blame her with the size of the needle. We then went training, Page came and watched the last session sitting on my lap. She was a little quiet but it was a busy evening for her and she met lots of new dogs.

I am now looking forward to taking her for her first walk. It will be exciting for both of us.

Naughty puppy

Page visited my mother again today, she did not behave herself. Her favourite game was pulling on the runner on the kitchen floor. She also tried to chew the leads to a number of assorted electrical items and a rug. She has also attempted to empty the kitchen bin, followed by pinching a roll of green recycle bags and running out the garden with them. She also pinched my mothers necklace, luckily we got it back.

This afternoon she has been playing in the garden with the other dogs, she is  finally tired.

Her favourite game today has been pushing a large plastic celebrations container around the lounge. She loves anything that makes a noise. Empty plastic lemonade bottles have the same effect. She also has a very loud puppy bark that accompanies these games.

Another game is called helping with the laundry. Dirty clothers are pinched from the basket, shirts left to air on radiators are pulled off, and folding sheets ends up as a tuggy game.

Life with Page is great fun, but we are all exhausted. Penn is her best play mate but now Pilot has started to play a lot more with. Pilot loves chase games, not the ideal game to play in the house with Pilots long legs.

Thursday

Page now has a new trick, climbing onto the table in the lounge. She has done it twice today. She will try and climb anything. This worries me, as she will also attempt to jump off things. Luckily I have caught her just in time.

She is very toy orientated. This should make her agility training easier when we start. We are having lots of fun playing tuggie games together. She also loves her squeaky yellow phone that Jeanette gave her as a leaving present. Both Pilot and Parsley have tried to pinch it.

I will post some more photos tomorrow. I've been too busy playing with her today to down load any photos from my camera. She has been been hyperactive and hasn't slept much. When she's asleep I'm giving the other dogs lots of attention. They are being so good with her.

Tuesday or is it chewsday.

Page is chewing anything she can get her little teeth into. I am sure she thinks her name is Page No. If you think it's gone quiet, check on Page. At the moment she hasn't done any damage. I also don't want her hurting herself.

She is learning fast, she is picking up ideas from the other dogs. Panic and Penn will often sit on the top of the backrest of the sofa. Guess where I found Page yesterday.

This morning before I went out I tried to put her in her cage. The problem is Penn still likes the cage and decided that it was hers. I was kneeling on the floor trying to get Penn out and Page in. Once in the cage, Page happily settled down. Penn wasn't pleased, and sat staring at her.

Sunday

I have never known a puppy sleep so little during the day. She is so full of energy. Poor Penn, she is exhausted. Page loves playing with her.

I am still finding it hard to take decent photos as she never stays still.Today she has started to carry a large rubber ball in her mouth. It's very heavy, I surprised when she picked it up.

A week of fun

I can't believe Page has now been with us for a whole week. She has settled in well. She is one of the naughtiest puppies we have every had. She is so adventurous. She does not sleep much during the day, but she sleeps through the night.

She spends ages playing with Penn. She  plays with Pilot, but with Pilot being so big in it's very funny to watch. Panic is now guarding all her favourite toys but hasn't tried to take anything from  Page.

Last night I made margaritas,Page, was very interested. I put my glass on the floor and Page put her head straight in it. The glasses I were using, are big thick heavy blue ones. Later that night I put glass on the floor in the middle of the room. Page circled it barking.

While Tom is out walking the other dogs we are practicing sits. She is also running along side me up and down the garden path.
